Entry from: Munich, Germany Entry Title: "And the hard part is done." Entry: "Once moving on the train we settled in to watch the country side. It was interesting as you get a great view of everones house the bare trees and like pools is to LA swing sets are t europeans, nearly everyone has one in their backyards. We followed a river for a while and if we are in the middle of a drought I know where all the water has gone, the country side was so so soggy with flooded paddocks. We finally reached the boarder and crossed over the Rhine river. The rail sights in germany were amazing, the roofs were deep sloping, stuttgart and the little villages are picturesque. After strasburg Dave and I scored a great seat, not realising it was in the smoking area. We did however stay there as we were allset up with the laptop on a mini table. So after 36 hours of travel we finally arrived in munich, exhasted we were happy that the hostel was close and just around the corner. After checking into our room we were in bed and unconcious before you could say 'What a sissy. it is only 8 pm'!! It was no doubt the best nights sleep I ever had. Believe me a flat pillow, bed slats in your back and ratty sheets are heaven. But we had to be up early the next morning to go on the Bavarian Castle tours. Not to worry, with the slight ...
